🔁 Keep – Buy – Sell – Avoid
- ✅ KEEP
- Watkins (£8.7m) - Faces the worst defence in the league (BUR) at home.
- Bruno Fernandes (£9.0m) — Keep him just for his next game at home to Sunderland and assess later.
- 🛒 BUY NOW
- Gabriel (£6.2m) — Best defence + Very high goal threat by him.
- Senesi (£4.9m) — The only defender in FPL who has gotten 2 extra defcon points in all 6 games. He is the most essential pick in the game right now.
- ❌ SELL
- Ekitike (£8.7m) — Got an injury midweek. Isak is fit. Minutes Risk.
- Cole Palmer (£10.4m) — Injured for at least 4 weeks.
- ⛔ AVOID
- Phil Foden (£8.1m) - Minutes Risk and might be rotated because he played 90 mins midweek.
- Any Chelsea player - They are playing Liverpool. They are not quite a functional team right now especially defensively, Palmer is a huge miss.
🎯 Low-Owned Differentials
💎 Gordon (£7.4m) — 1.7% * Scored twice in UEFA; on penalties; faces NFO.
⚡ Bukayo Saka (£9.8m) — 7.0% * Good Fixtures; Madueke is injured.
🛡️ Eze (£7.6m) — 13% * Was rested midweek; will start against a poor West Ham.
🔥 Xavi Simons (£7.1m) — 3.6% * Plays Leeds. Was rested midweek. Will start.
🎩 Watkins (£8.7m) — 9.9% * Plays Burnley. Scored GW6. Villa back in form.
⚙️ Minteh (BRI, £5.9m) — 2.8% * He is their most in form player. Plays Wolves.
⚽ Doku (£6.6m) — 6.7% * Scored 10 points last week; Plays a leaky Brentford.
👑 Best GW7 Captain
- Haaland vs BRE (A)
Brentford are the third-worst defence in the league for expected goals conceded. They’re the joint-fourth worst for actual goals conceded, have conceded the 2nd most shots in the league and at home they have conceded 31 shots inside the box from just 3 games, only West Ham have a worse record.
- Saka vs WHU (H)
Saka got a decent rest midweek in the hampions league which just sures up his start this weekend. Saka has 9 returns in his last 7 matches against West Ham including a goal and 3 assists last time he played them. Saka was back on the score sheet midweek.
- Gyokeres vs WHU (H)
Similar to the Saka reasoning. But Saka being a midfielder is probably enough to put Gyokeres 3rd; but comments from Martinelli who said they are trying to always create chances for him is good to hear.
⚖️ Verdict: Haaland
🃏 The great Joao Pedro sell off ...
Joao Pedro is the second-most sold player this GW, behind Mohamed Salah.
The numbers aren’t great. Pedro has 0.00xG (expected goals) in his last 2 Premier League games, as he’s failed to have a shot in either game.
The absence of Cole Palmer and their GW 7 fixture vs Liverpool mean 1 thing: lots of managers are now refusing to vote for Joao Pedro.
Is he injured?
He hasn’t been called up to the Brazil team for their friendlies against South Korea and Japan due to a “small physical problem”. Whilst he’s “not 100%”, it seems that the International Break is being used as an opportunity to give him a rest.
What went wrong for Pedro?
Only 58 of Joao’s last 180 minutes of EPL action have been played with 11 men. If we exclude those games, Joao has returned an average of 8.25 FPL points per match so far. I am not convinced he’s worthy of a transfer yet.
GW 7 marks a turning point for several teams, namely:
Chelsea: LIV, nfo, SUN, tot, WOL, bur
Brighton: wol, NEW, mun, LEE, cry, BRE
Wolves: BHA, sun, BUR, ful, che, CRY
Arsenal: WHU, ful, CRY, bur, sun, TOT
So who are the best Arsenal picks?
Six Arsenal players have received 83,000+ transfers in, with Gabriel (£6.2m) & Viktor Gyokeres (£9.0m) earning 219,000 and 412,000 new owners respectively. The best defence in the league is Arsenal, so buying 2 of their defenders is the wiser option.
The minutes of their attackers are not as consistent as for their CB's. They are not such a lethal attack to justify spending much of your budget on 2 Arsenal attackers. Case in point - Gyokeres has scored in only 50% of the games he has played in this season.
