Antoine Semenyo will be in the matchday squad this weekend assuming all goes well in training today [Iraola].

Hugo Ekitike and Leandro Trossard are the two highest-profile injuries from midweek games.

- Mateta(£8.1m) — He meets Man United next, a defence that has managed only one clean sheet all season; Then Burnley — a backline currently ranked 20th for NPxGC, xGC and xCS.

- Rogers — Villa have turned the tide in style, now sitting 4th in the table after scoring 14 goals in their next 7 matches (second only to Man City)

Thiago (£6.5m)— He is now the 2nd highest scoring FWD overall this season . Brentford face Burnley, Leeds and Wolves in the next five

- Joao Pedro (£7.5m)— Flatters to deceive — just two attacking returns since GW5 is nowhere near enough for a forward in his price.

Caicedo(£6.1m) — Upcoming fixtures offer little relief. Much like João Pedro, he runs into a rough schedule that limits his ceiling and consistency.

- We are entering a very tricky fixture period with heavy fixture congestion in all club competitions. The next International Break is in March. This is the period to avoid payers who are injury doubts and injury prone.
- This is also especially the period to not buy players who get poor minutes in their teams and are prone to rotation. If the player you are eyeing falls into either of these 2 brackets, He is an 'AVOID'.
- Go for players who get consistent 90 minutes like Haaland / Salah / Saka / Bruno / Mbeumo.

👑 GW13: Haaland Triple Captain?

Without any doubles, the Triple Captain chip will mostly revolve around one guy — Erling Haaland. Using projected points data, Haaland crosses the 8+ expected points mark in GW13, GW15, and GW17, Arsenal defenders like Gabriel and Timber also crossing 7+ in GW16.

There are only four realistic Triple Captain candidates:

Haaland (GW13 vs Leeds)
Haaland (GW15 vs Sunderland)
Haaland (GW17 vs West Ham)
Saka/Arsenal Defender (GW16 vs Wolves)

Haaland at home to Leeds in GW13 is a very tempting one. Leeds have conceded 20 goals this season, with an xGA of 14.6, 44 shots on target conceded, and a very poor save percentage of 59.1%.

However, GW13 is already the best Free Hit week on paper, & you can’t use two chips in a gameweek. Between the two, Free Hit offers more holistic value by allowing you to capitalize on many favorable fixtures rather than one explosive captain pick. So, while Haaland vs Leeds is a strong TC option on paper, it ranks behind the other choices.

🃏 GW 13 Free Hit

With the first Free Hit Chip expiring in GW19 - GW13 provides a good window to Free Hit: Arsenal are playing Chelsea, City are playing Leeds and Liverpool are playing West Ham.

Pros of GW13 Free Hit:

Avoid Chelsea vs Arsenal game completely.

Chelsea play LEE(A) game in GW14 which means that you can avoid Enzo/Pedro/Chelsea assets vs ARS in GW13 Free Hit and get them back in GW14.

Manchester City Triple up vs LEE(H) in GW13. You will probably have Haaland in GW13. You can have one more attacker(Foden/Cherki/Doku) and one defender(Gvardiol/O’Reilly).

Palace vs Man United and Sunderland vs Bournemouth are difficult fixtures to call- You can completely avoid them if you are loaded up on them in your original team.

Cons of GW13 Free Hit:

Backing Salah/Isak/Gakpo might not be an easy decision due to their form.
Going against Arsenal players(i.e. Defenders) could backfire easily as you are going against the league’s best defense.
United Midfielders(Bruno, Mbeumo), Mateta, Munoz, Semenyo, Saka are players who might be in your original team but might not make your GW13 Free Hit squad. They are still good picks in GW13. There are high chances that few of them go big.
Blocks the Haaland Triple Captain vs LEE(H) if you are planning to use it.

With first Free Hit Chip expiring in GW19 and no Double Gameweeks till then, there is no right or wrong week to use the First Free Hit- It totally depends on your team.

GW16 Free Hit– Go against Haaland vs CRY(A). Probably the only fixture you can go against him. Attack with Arsenal triple up WOL(H), Liverpool attackers vs Brighton, Brentford players vs LEE(H).
